NAIROBI, March 4 – The third First Lady Half Marathon will feature a Special Olympics team in the event to run on Sunday.
The 20 athletes aged between 15 and 20, who are drawn from different parts of the county, will be supported by telecommunications service provider Airtel.
The team has been training for the past two weeks in preparation for the annual event and were this morning joined by Airtel employees from both Kenya and Africa Group offices led by the company’s CEO Adil El Youssefi for a training.
“Airtel is pleased to support the Special Olympics team to run for a good cause as well as uplift their abilities to realize their full potential in life,” El Youssefi said.
